Patient Care

Patient CareUnderstanding your options for care at the end of life is important. Along with addressing your physical needs, a tenet of hospice care is the careful attention to your emotional and spiritual needs.

Because your life matters, we offer you choices, support and comfort. Our team of physicians, registered nurses, social workers, chaplains and volunteers are available to respond to your needs. Community Hospice of Texas offers four levels of care:

Routine Care is provided wherever you call home, whether that is a private residence, assisted living facility or nursing home. This level of care includes, but is not limited to, treatment to manage pain and symptoms; assistance with meals and light household duties; and physical, occupational and speech therapies.

Continuous care is a higher level of nursing care providing relief from acute pain and symptoms wherever you call home.

Respite care is short-term inpatient care at a facility limited to five days. It provides care for patients, relieving family members of caregiving responsibilities for rest or to handle personal matters.

Inpatient care is provided in the comfort of a home-like setting for acute pain and symptom management at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital or one of our hospice houses, Community Hospice of Texas Hospice House Downtown in Fort Worth or Community Hospice of Texas Hospice House at Texas Health Huguley in Burleson.
