Paying For Hospice
You want comfort and reassurance at this time, not worry and hassles about how care will be paid. Hospice services are covered in full by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans with little or no expense to the patient. If a patient is not covered by Medicare or private insurance, Community Hospice of Texas will assist patients and families to determine eligibility for coverage. As a mission-driven organization, Community Hospice of Texas serves all, regardless of ability to pay.
To be eligible for hospice care, you must have a:
• Diagnosis of a life limiting illness
• Desire for comfort care rather than curative care
• Physicians and nurses available 24/7 to answer questions
• Our nursing staff can facilitate the admissions process
• Call our office to answer your questions without obligation
Hospice services can include:
• Physician services and nursing care
• Medical equipment and supplies
• Medication for symptom control and pain relief
• Physical, occupational and speech therapies
• Social services
• Dietary counseling
• Grief counseling
• Hospice aide support
