Paying For Hospice

Hospice services are covered in full by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans with little or no expense to the patient. If a patient is not covered by Medicare or private insurance, Community Hospice of Texas will assist patients and families to determine eligibility for coverage. As a mission-driven organization, Community Hospice of Texas serves all, regardless of ability to pay.

 

To be eligible for hospice care, you must have a:

 

• Diagnosis of a life limiting illness

• Desire for comfort care rather than curative care

• Physicians and nurses available 24/7 to answer questions

• Our nursing staff can facilitate the admissions process

• Call our office to answer your questions without obligation

 

 

Hospice services can include:

• Medical equipment and supplies

• Medication for symptom control and pain relief

• Physical, occupational and speech therapies

• Social services
