About Inpatient Care

While most hospice care is home-based, we can provide increased flexibility of treatment to meet the needs of many patients through the comfort of our two in-patient facilities devoted exclusively to end-of-life care. Community Hospice of Texas operates two inpatient facilities: Community Hospice of Texas Hospice House Downtown in Fort Worth and the Emery J. Lilge Hospice House, located at Huguley Memorial Medical Center in Burleson.

In a setting much like a home, staff is available 24 hours a day to provide emotional spiritual, and complex, interactive medical care. Respite care, transitional care, inpatient care and short-term residential care are available in our hospice houses.

We focus on providing families with a warm, home-like atmosphere where the emphasis is placed on personal dignity and a positive quality of life. Amenities include:

  • Warm-colored living areas with soft lighting
  • Attractively furnished living room, dining room and family kitchen
  • Chapel for family gatherings
  • Play area for younger visitors
  • Family bathroom with shower
  • Sleeping accommodations for one family member
  • 24-hour visiting hours
  • On-site parking
  • Laundry facilities
  • A homelike environment.
