Respite Care

Interior shot of room. Sometimes care for the caregiver is needed. Caring for a loved one with a terminal illness can be difficult on many levels – physically and emotionally. There may be times when a caregiver needs to step away for a short period of time to recharge. Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice offer short-term Respite Care in its Inpatient Facilities when space is available.

Respite Care allows for the caregiver to enjoy a short vacation or take needed time to handle personal matters. With a five-day maximum stay, the caregiver can trust that their loved one is cared for by highly trained hospice nurses and physicians that will be on hand to provide the comfort and security needed.

Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice take a holistic approach to patient care – meaning we care for the patient and the family. We are here to assist in bringing comfort and care to all involved. Simply discuss your needs with your hospice team and they can assist you in making the appropriate arrangements.
