Community Healthcare of Texas Launches Monthly Online Caregiver Support Group

Community Healthcare of Texas, the state’s largest nonprofit hospice and palliative care provider, is pleased to offer a new Online Caregiver Support Group, launching February 18, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. This free monthly support group provides a safe and welcoming space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn valuable coping skills. Additional sessions are scheduled for March 18, April 15, and May 6.

Caring for a loved one facing serious illness can be both emotionally and physically demanding, often leaving caregivers feeling isolated and overwhelmed. Recognizing this need, Community Healthcare of Texas established the Online Caregiver Support Group to offer encouragement, guidance, and a sense of community.

“At Community Healthcare of Texas, we are dedicated to providing holistic care not only to patients but also to their caregivers,” said Megan Lilburn, Bereavement Coordinator at Community Healthcare of Texas. “Our Online Caregiver Support Group is an extension of this commitment, offering a supportive environment where caregivers can find understanding, comfort, and practical guidance to help them navigate the challenges of caregiving.”

The Online Caregiver Support Group is open to all caregivers, regardless of whether their loved ones are under the care of Community Healthcare of Texas. The virtual format ensures accessibility for those who may have difficulty attending in-person meetings.
