Community Healthcare of Texas Introduces Free Online Caregiver Support Group

Community Healthcare of Texas, the state’s largest non-profit hospice and palliative care provider, is pleased to announce its newest initiative, an Online Caregiver Support Group. This initiative aims to extend crucial support and resources to caregivers throughout our community, acknowledging the vital role they play in providing compassionate care to loved ones. The support group will meet virtually on the fourth Wednesday of each month, starting March 27, 2024, at 9:00 AM CST.

Caring for a loved one facing serious illness can be an emotionally and physically demanding journey, often leaving caregivers feeling isolated and overwhelmed. In response to this need, Community Healthcare of Texas has established the Online Caregiver Support Group to create an intentional space where caregivers can connect, share experiences, and access valuable support and information.

“At Community Healthcare of Texas, we are dedicated to providing holistic care not only to patients but also to their caregivers. Our Online Caregiver Support Group is an extension of this commitment, offering a supportive environment where caregivers can find understanding, comfort, and practical guidance to feel equipped to continue the work of caregiving,” said Megan Turner, Bereavement Coordinator at Community Healthcare of Texas.

The Online Caregiver Support Group is open to all caregivers, irrespective of whether their loved ones are under the care of Community Healthcare of Texas. The sessions are free to attend, reflecting the organization’s commitment to providing accessible support to caregivers in need.
