20 Years of Providing Hospice Services

Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice have been providing home care, inpatient care and respite care since 1995 to patients that have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness with a prognosis of six months or less. Providing compassionate end-of-life care for those living with an illness while providing support for those caring for a loved one is the mission of Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice.

Because many patients respond best when care is provided in the comfort and familiar surroundings of home, Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice provide hospice services wherever our patient calls home – whether it is a private residence, an assisted living community, nursing home or hospital. While Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice have office locations in Cleburne, Dallas, Fort Worth, Mexia, Waco and Whitney, hospice care is provided in 25 counties throughout the north central Texas area. If a more intensive level of patient care is needed to control acute pain and other symptoms or provide respite for the caregiver, Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice have three licensed inpatient facilities plus inpatient contractual relationships with numerous nursing facilities and hospitals.

Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice understand the financial stress that medical issues can put on a family. Often patients and their families are concerned with how they will pay for hospice care. Hospice services are covered in full by Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans with little or no expense to the patient. As the largest not-for-profit hospice in the state of Texas, Community Hospice of Texas and Providence Hospice work closely with patients and families to find solutions if additional help is needed.
