Dr. David Capper Honored with 2025 Gold-Headed Cane Award

Community Healthcare of Texas (CHOT) is proud to announce that Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Capper has been awarded the 2025 Gold-Headed Cane Award by the Tarrant County Medical Society (TCMS).
The prestigious Gold-Headed Cane, established in 1951, is presented annually to a physician who exemplifies the highest standards of medical excellence, integrity, and compassionate care. Recipients are nominated and selected by their physician peers within TCMS, making it one of the most respected honors in the local medical community.
Joined by his colleagues from CHOT, Dr. Capper was recognized at a TCMS reception on December 4 at the Ashton Depot in Fort Worth.
For more than two decades, Dr. Capper has been a leading voice in hospice and palliative care in North Texas. His commitment to patient-centered care, clinical innovation, and mentorship has shaped the delivery of serious illness care throughout the region.
“We couldn’t be more proud of Dr. Capper. It never ceases to amaze me how much he gives back to our community and how generous he is with his time and expertise,” said Viki Jingle, CEO of Community Healthcare of Texas. “His compassion and dedication to caring for others are truly exceptional.”
